Suphanut Suwansanya

Every time i think of Red and Blue, i automatically throw White in there and all of the sudden i feel patriotic. I have no idea what it is about this designer, but I don't get that patriotic feeling. His name is Suphanut Suwansanya and he heads his eponymous line in London.
Suphanut Suwansanya attended the London College of Fashion and notes that his inspiration for his Autum/Winter 08 collection came from the book 'A Chance of Sunshine' by Jimmy Liao (never heard of it, have you?). The base of the concept was the relationship between a man and a woman, and the color scheme derived from the tradition of color indication gender, blue for the man, and red for the woman.
The pieces that Suphanut created are really interesting in terms of the lines he creates and the fact that he uses red and blue, but somehow steering away from a patriotic feel blows my mind(at least it doesn't feel patriotic to me). Though all the pieces are extremely interesting my favorites would have to include the blue scarf, the red shorts, and black jacket in the following picture, the structure of the shorts and and jacket trips me out, and makes me smile, and the scarf is something i've never seen before, and i'm all about different things:
and the leggings are also something that i really like, maybe not for me, but i can think of a few people who would die over them:
if you want to see more, i would encourage you too check out his website here.
